Get ready to shred your holiday shopping list at the Twisted Tinsel Makers Market! Roll through Black Plague Brewing in Oceanside on November 16th from 1-7pm, where 20+ local vendors are showin’ off their hauntingly cool creations—just in time to hook you up with some killer Christmas gifts.

Stick around for the main event: Mexican American Psychos hittin’ the stage at 6:30pm to crank up the vibes with their raw, high-energy set. Grab a brew, browse some sick handmade goods, and support the local scene. Don’t sleep on it—Twisted Tinsel is gonna be a blast.

Join Sip & Script® for a Night of Learning Calligraphy!

Join us at Black Plague Brewery in Oceanside, CA for a festive workshop of holiday fun and pretty lettering for beginners! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all your holiday tables, Christmas trees, hostess gifts, gift tags, holiday card mailings and more!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be lettering on a take home acrylic ornament at the end of our class time!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase drinks/food!  Class will start promptly at 6:00pm!

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.

Join us for a twist to our average Paint and Sip! We will gather at Black Plague Brewery in Oceanside for custom hat painting! All supplies are provided, including the Felt Fedora Hat. Your hat will be sanded and primed for painting beforehand. We will use a fabric paint medium to add to our acrylic paints. We will be sealing our hats with Modge Podge once we are done. We only will be providing cream hats to paint.

This makes a perfect Christmas gift, or you can sport it for your next outing! Choose whatever colors you would like to paint your hat with. We look forward to getting creative with you!
